I know PlayStation Now lets you play PS3 games, but will the discs work on PS4? Just want to know whether it's worth getting one at the moment

As far as I'm aware, not yet. Nintendo are the only ones who normally get that right, but then they redesign their consoles and remove those features. It's the reason why the oldest Wii model is still the best, since it has GC ports and can be modded to play DVDs, while the later models had different disc drives and no GC pad or memory card ports.

They just want you to buy your games all over again. The original ps3 used to be backwards compatible, but they squashed that as soon as they made the new versions that had more memory.
