Voted for a '4 hour ~ Driver change'. Never participated in a race with a driver change in it.

4 hour driver change as that's the only way the time can be 'friendly' for me. :/

as am I, i'd rather it be 3 hours if we did 1 driver races only, just put 2.5 for now until we got an idea of how we're running them, will change it later NW48 About what times between 17:00-22:00 UTC are you good for?

When you spec the Nissan don't be a complete moron. ORA are having that trouble and trying to make it even in terms is straight line speed but are wondering why its 4 second a lap slower, then complaining that the gear box is slowing them down!
He even said when he made the regs that the cars are 4 secs of pase but he still this ther even? WTF?

hate people doing that. one guy before tried to balance cars based on their ability of 0-60mph. really? lol

Just because cars have the same top end isn't balanced. so, if I make an F1 car and a fiat 500 do 80mph they'll be balanced? No lol. If a car does the same lap time, speed wise that's balanced. A car may be quicker on a straight but slower in corners, that's like the FF/FR argument

I think they think they can get any car to turn and handle the same. I have raced with you long enuf to understand how you spec a verity of cars and I know how triky it can be but it is possible. If your going to use speed to spec a car you wouldn't just use top speed but the avge speed per lap! And any one can see that lap times are easyer. ORA have always been awfull with specs, the only series they did where the specs where good was the one car Nissan GT3 cup they did! Its just getting boring, people are not tallking about the racing but how crap the regs are... Always! Its driving me away! *if you didn't know I'm talking about a difrent group, this one is good!

They tend to not take fundamentals into consideration... Cornering prowess is generally a cleaner cut case compared to top speed. Advantages in mechanical grip can't really be nerfed, whereas top speed advantages can be nerfed by adding or taking away power/weight. That's why I always have a rule of thumb that if a car has clear advantages in one side of the spectrum, and a clear disadvantage in the other, cater to the needs of the worse handling car and look at the track list for the events you have planned for... THEN spec accordingly to at least create an even playing field over a whole season as opposed to race by race.

Can I find out who exactly would be happy to run a 3 hour race by yourself? I will allow safety car etc conditions so you can rejoin if DC but how many would be up for it?

The way things are going we're not going to get this going. So I've had an idea which may benefit people. We can either have the race as 3 or 4 hours.
LMP1 Class - 1 driver. do the race yourself LMP2 Class - 2 drivers - driver change GTE Pro/Am - 1 or 2 drivers
Could interest everyone that way. How does that sound to people? will put a poll for 3/4 hour races

If we racing 3-4 hours, I suggest a driver change for all classes as I can't see anyone racing for that long.

I can. some people want to do that. like doom said, keep the race within their control, and some people enjoy driving for hours on end
race will be 3/4 hours regardless. if people want to drive that long themselves then why stop them
