Welcome to the thread for all things Formula One! From race results to rumours, and everything in between, this is the thread to discuss it.
Remember; - No Fatal Crash videos. Those are considered to be 'Taboo' and are not appropriate. - Do not intentionally wish harm onto a driver. (e.g; "I hope (Name) crashes into a wall and is killed", sort of thing. In Motorsport we never want to see someone hurt or be killed. - Keep on topic. - Don't be afraid to express your own opinion, but do expect that opinion to he questioned as this is the Internet and a forum, after all. - This is a thread about F1, if you are continuously bashing F1 without reason, I will pull you up on it Other than that, let's get things going!

I reckon, that, this years' title fight will come down to the wire... between...
Hamilton (obviously) and... Vettel.
Plus, I reckon if Rosberg doesn't pick up his pieces soon Raikkonen will join the party!

I say that but I loved the 2012 season and it really got me back in to loving motor sport! But the year after I went to my first ever WEC event and I haven't looked back since!
It seems that F1 might cover some other more exciting forms of Motorsport and only when you find them you appreciate every thing Motorsport stands for!

It was a shame Alonso missed out by 3 points!

remember when F1 wasn't boring? me ether. This isn't a thread for you to endlessly bash F1 without proper reason, SK8R. If you don't like it (which you obviously don't), you don't need to keep reminding us of it. Now your second post in this thread was good, as it actually added something to the topic at hand. @gt MIKE, 2010 was a great season, the fact it came down to the final race with 3 or 4 drivers able to clinch it was amazing. Great stuff and hopefully something that will be repeated soon.

People are allowed to engage in conversation, I was just reminding you quite nicely that this is a thread for F1 Results and Talk, not a thread to endlessly remind us that you hate F1.

Read the last part of that bolded question. I can question you. We all know how much you hate F1, you don't need to keep shoving into our face. There is a difference between an opinion and being a pest. Don't blur the line. Anyway, let's get back on topic, shall we? Who has seen the leaked calendar fpr next year which features the return of the European Grand Prix at the Baku Street Circuit. And what about Piech stepping down from the Head of VW, potentially opening the door for Audi to do F1. That's something you gotta like, SK8R?

what i say is. Berny is clever because in the concord agreement half the calender has to be in Europe, and to get past this he has called the Baku GP the European Gran Prix even tho its not in Europe!
Audi is a difren matter and no one knows any thing about it and it probably wont happen!
sorry post is a little rushed, i got to get to collage!

I wouldn't have thought it would open the door for Audi... Volkswagen maybe... With Audi a subdivision of Volkswagen, it could open the way for Audi, however it's very unlikely they can run a WEC program and an F1 program at the same time due to how expensive it would be. Volkswagen still could come in though, so don't write them off completely.

I always thought the plan was for Audi to enter Formula 1, with Porsche taking their place in WEC. Seriously, I thought that was the point of having Porsche enter WEC as now there are two VW Group manufacturers in the championship. However, if VW enter F1 I would personally rather see them use the Lamborghini name. Bright Orange Lamborghini F1 cars. I've specified this elsewhere, but I'll do it here as well. This is the year where I feel my love of F1 fading. After China, with Nico saying Lewis was driving too slowly and instead of trying to overtake his championship rival for the lead he got the team to give Lewis a good talking to, I wondered to myself if this is the future. Baring in mind this happened on the same weekend as the Silverstone 6 hour where 3 cars were battling for the win after 6 hours of racing and nobody gave an inch. If I had control of F1, this is what I'd do: 1) Less Surface Aerodynamics. Have the majority of the Aero effect underneath the car to limit the turbulent air flow caused by the wings. 2) No Gimmicks. With reduced wings you no longer require gimmicks like DRS. Make the racers actually use their skills and race. 3) Refueling and Tyre Reg change. Refueling is permitted in the race. Pirelli bring all 4 of their compounds to every race meeting. There are no tyre rules. Teams can select whatever fuel load and tyres they like for the race. Also, Qualifying tyres are reintroduced. Each driver gets 3 sets. 1 for FP3 (to test) and 2 for Q. 4) Less Tilke Tracks. When Tilke designed tracks like Sepang and Istanbul the circuits were flowing. They were great for driving and had a real flow. Now when I look at COTA and Sochi they are jagged messes. There is a rhythm there for sure, but I never enjoy these circuits. Return to the classic tracks of old.

I bet their F1 car will also be based off a Golf.

I definitely think Red Bull should rename Toro Rosso, make it team A and sell the current Red Bull Racing team !

I don't think it's wise for Audi to enter F1, at least, not while they are still very much a force to be reckoned with in the WEC. Porsche seem more likely to do it, especially when you consider what engine they have in place within WEC. 2-ltr V4 with a hybrid system like they currently have? They could at least implement a lot more to F1 with that engine as a base.
Anyways, the race in Spain was somewhat... Uh... Interesting, but not in a fantastically exciting way though. Wanted to see Hamilton smash it, but a poor start and tardy pitstops made sure that even if he had the pace, there wasn't the time left to make things happen.
